Safety with the Crazyflie Nano Quadcopter

Even though the Crazyflie is just a small quadcopter it can still do damage in a number of different ways. Therefore it's important to operate it in a responsible way making sure that safety comes first. The hardware is still in a prototype state and the firmware/software is still unstable and undergoing changes by both us as well as the community. This means that the Crazyflie will sometimes behave very unexpectedly and this might cause problems.

The Crazyflie is NOT a toy and should be operated responsibly. Use common sense and take the proper precautions.

Flying

Before and during flight make sure that you have enough room and that no one that can be hurt is close to the Crazyflie (this includes children, adults and pets) and that no delicate objects are in reach of the Crazyflie as it might damage them. The software allows the user to configure settings that might make the Crazyflie behave very unexpectedly so take care when changing these settings.

Storing

While storing the Crazyflie make sure that it's not stored in direct sunlight and that it's kept out of reach of children and pets.

Battery

Do not puncture the battery or leave it in the sunlight and make sure that it's kept out of reach of children and pets.
